Apparently today, October 14, is World Standards Day. Perhaps there is no better day to confess about an interest of mine relating to standards than today: I sometimes like to browse the list of IANA protocol registries and just see what’s there.
Then I might stumble upon the iCalendar Element Registries and allow my mind to wander off and think of how the world could be better when we all use the latest and greatest standards for calendaring.
More often I skip the list of all registries and directly browse one of my favourites: the Well-Known URIs or Link Relations registries.
